Orange You Glad…

….Wait, no oranges were harmed in the making. Let’s get to juicing! ;p

I was challenged to make a different smoothie since I rarely make vegetable smoothies. So, today I decided to take that challenge. In the picture above, here are the ingredients:
1. 2 Carrots
2. Half an apple
3. Ginger
4. Lemon
5. Cold water
6. Ice (This is optional and only if you want your smoothie to be really cold. I just let mine sit in the fridge for an hour.)

I then decided to add a little bit of baby kale. I can already predict the comments from my Thyroid followers about the kale. I mistakenly bought kale instead of spinach, but it doesn’t hurt to try. I cut back a lot on the baby spinach as I only have it once every few months. I’ve never had kale until Saturday night. Don’t worry guys, this will not be used in my smoothies daily.

As I sit the juice in the fridge, I decided to make a small breakfast. I could not stay away from my fruit smoothies, it’s an addiction. I made a frozen strawberry and banana smoothie. I also made a banana yogurt. I layered the banana. I wanted to add granola to this, but I just could not find them last night.

I also made a scrambled egg sandwich to finish my breakfast. Something light because my body will reject a heavy breakfast.
