I Have Figured it Out.

I believe what you’re trying to figure out is if knocking down that wall was a mistake or not
You took down those bricks one by one
Not from the act of love, from sight
You were shown what you’ve longed for
slowly, but cautiously

From the moment you were kissed by the sun as it rised
As he held and showered you with kisses
I believe what you’re trying to figure out, is whether you should trust the rapid sounds from your hearts when you touch

Chemistry, this is what it’s like to be risen from the grave and feel alive again
I believe what you’re trying to figure out is where have this soul been roaming your whole life
In his arms you feel safe and sound
The whole world stops and your mind is at peace
As your lips touch, you feel that electric spark
Sending signals out to your brain and felt in every part of you

What you were once afraid of, will be overcome
You either fail or succeed once you take a leap of faith
Time tells what’s meant to be, I felt it before I layed my eyes on you
I guess what I was trying to figure out is if I should trust my heart again

She is not without he
You are not complete without I
We are a work in progress, two imperfect souls that will go through trials and tribulations
I have kissed away the dead pieces that clutched onto me
And said hello to the better me

You asked me to never let you go
You told me that you’re with me forever
I can’t imagine being without you, I don’t want anyone else
Trust takes time, love is patience
I promise to only be kind and remind you how special you are
I declared my love before the words slipped out of my mouth
I guess what I was trying to figure out…
Am I ready for love?
