HGTV’s Smart House.

Whenever my family would move into a new home my mum and I always team up to decorate the entire house. The house that we’re currently residing in is mostly designed by me as it’s still under going remodeling little by little. Mum would always choose this boring beige or creme color for every single room. For this house I said, “Mum, enough with the boring stuff, it is time to give this house a splash of color.” She trusted me with choosing the colors for each room except her bedroom and the exterior. The outside color makes me cringe. My aunt (one of her sisters) painted her home the same color, I just don’t get it, but I can definitely say it is much better than the white and evergreen color the previous owner left it in. She didn’t like that I wanted a turquoise color for my room, but she dealt with it. I am always the one taking charge of the interior decorating.

A guilty pleasure of mine is watching HGTV with my mom. I would have never admitted to that when I was younger. DIY network is another one that I love! We can watch it literally all day. We have so many home magazines, it’s crazy. Honestly, that’s what I have been watching these past few weeks. I’ve always thought about becoming an interior designer on top of the many career choices I have thought about… but that is not the point. While I was scrolling through my tumblr, I remebered that at the moment HGTV is having their annual Smart Home sweepstakes that you can enter twice daily. On top of entering for a chance to win this smart home, it includes the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and a $100,000 cash prize provided by national mortgage lender Quicken Loans. A grand prize valued at over $1 million. The location for this year is in Austin, Texas and you can click here for more details on entering and pictures of the house.

Now here are some of the interesting pictures I stumbled upon my tumblr:
