When you know your identity in Christ, you don’t allow anyone or anything to bring you down. Having faith and trusting God gives me confidence because I used to be in a dark place, but He was able to get me out of it.
Phillipians 4:13 says
“I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”
This verse is quite often overused. But, how many of you actually believe you have the power to overcome any obstacle, any test, and every trial that comes your way because God gives us the sufficient amount of strength to overcome whatever comes our way? Let’s take a look at verses 10-12.
10 I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. 11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
This is the secret to contentment. When you are able to rejoice not only on your good days, but on your bad days because you have been up and down. You know that no matter what, God has never failed you. When we are weak, He is our strength. Start seeing yourself the way God sees us, His children.
When you pray tonight, I need for you to believe there is power in prayer and that you will get through your current situation! Rest your heart and rely on His promises.
Lord, there is power in prayer. I pray that those who come to You believe this and they will overcome any situation in Jesus name. Give them hope and strength to overcome whatever is attacking them. Protect them, Father. Show them Your perspective. Give them peace.
