‘Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.’
Listen, our jobs as followers is to not be idle. A relationship requires committment. When you go back to Matthew 8:20, there is no room for comfortable Christianity. Jesus says these exact words:
And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
As I read that verse this morning, I had a heart check. It is easy to complain when we do not see God’s promises right away. At times, we have doubts and we simply tell ourselves we cannot get through our current situations. God gives us the sufficient amount of strength to endure our hardships!
You have to kill off those fresh-like desires that are causing you to stumble and keep going! When you are placed out of your comfort zone, it creates room for growth. You can’t take your cross everywhere you go. You have to obey and accept that not everyone is heading where you are heading, it’s not about you, and making time is important.
What are you willing to sacrifice?
